Dear Single Guy
I know how tough it can feel when you’re close to 30, fresh out of a breakup, or wondering if you’re behind where you’re supposed to be.
Your best friends are getting hitched, planning kids, or they’ve already have them.
I know that feeling well. Just 3 weeks after my 30th birthday I just had a breakup, all of my best friends were married, and I wasn’t even sure if I was going to stay in Miami.
Here’s what I always reminded myself of back then:
1️⃣ Never stop working on yourself
2️⃣ Be patient, it’s not a race
3️⃣ Know yourself first to know what you truly want
4️⃣ Celebrate your efforts, just for putting yourself out there
5️⃣ Believe in yourself and that you will meet them when it’s time
Anytime I had a disappointing date, got let down, or felt lonely, these reminders kept me going.
I believe this is how anyone can truly enjoy the journey and prepare ourselves to meet our favorite human.
That’s exactly how I found my human, @michellesthefany. The day I met her everything made sense: the effort, the patience, the lessons, and even the breakups.
Looking back I wouldn’t change one thing about the journey.
I’ll share more about Michelle, but I’ll save that for another time ☺️
With much love,
Jim
